WOW! Mount Bruce!
Yesterday we went to Mount Bruce. We went on a bus there and back. It took ages to get there! We saw lots of native birds. When we first got there we went into our lunch room. We saw two kiwis and we watched a video of a kiwi hatching. There were some tuataras that we really old. One of the tuataras name was Sam. At the very end we saw the people feeding the big eels. There were some teachers and parents who helped us. Ashlee said thank you to the Mount Bruce people when we left. It was extraordinarily fun!!

It was a lovely surprise to get your thank you cards. Wasn't Mount Bruce a great place to visit? I was amazed to see those enormous eels eating food off a spoon! Well done to the children of The Incredibles for your wonderful behaviour at Mount Bruce and thank you to the teachers for the great organisaion - the day ran very smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI would like to see it by myself! Haven't you made any photos there? :)
ReplyDeleteMount Bruce is an amazing place - what a great excursion! I was amazed to hear from Matthew how they got the stone out of the White Kiwi by breaking it up with a laser. That's amazing - how clever. Lucky little Kiwi. He's back home now so maybe you could see him in the holidays? My most favourite thing at Mount Bruce are the eels. I could watch them all day long. I think they're so graceful. I still can't believe the females swim all the way to Tonga just to breed. What a journey! (Linda - Matthew's Mum)
