Hook Tag

At fitness we played a game of hook tag. Matt taught us it. It is loads of fun!

This is how you play Hook Tag:

1. You need 3 taggers.
2. You have a partner and you have to hook arms with each other.
3. Now you can start running around without letting go. You have to have good teamwork.
4. The taggers hook on to one end of a pair and the person on the other end is now a tagger.

You should try playing hook tag. Maybe you'll have as much fun as we did.

Autumn Leaves

We made a picture of autumn leaves. We went to find some autumn leaves in the playground. We saw some yellow, some, some brown, some orange and some green leaves. Then we went inside and got a piece of paper and we went to a table coloured int he piece of paper with lots of autumn colours. We used crayons. We covered the paper with black paint. Then we had to wait for a couple of days for the black paint to dry. Today we scratched pictures of leaves with a knife. The black paint came off and the crayon was turned into a leaf. They look really colourful!

Keeping Ourselves Clean

We are learning to keep ourselves clean and put on clean clothes. If you get muddy you scrub yourself to clean it off or else you will get very stinky. You should wash yourself with soap and your hair with shampoo. Wash your face with soap and a flannel. It's important to brush your teeth in the morning after breakfast and before you go to bed!

We can keep ourselves clean!

The Christchurch Cathedral

We went to the courts today and drew with chalk. We made a big picture! It took up a whole netball court. We drew the cathedral. The court was split up into squares. We did one square each of the cathedral with our buddies. It looks very colourful. There is lots of white. The whole school helped. It looks amazing.

The Incredibles Handwriting

We did handwriting. We are learning to write the letter in our name correctly. We used the highlighters to show our best work and letters that needed more practice. Gold for goal is the yellow highlighter. We highlight our best letters with yellow. The pink one is for Pink for Think. So we think about how we can make it better.

You can come and have a look at our books to see our Gold for Goal and Pink for Think.

Triathlon

We went to watch the seniors do the triathlon. They year 3s to year 6s did swimming, biking and running. All the people had to get their bikes and go up the hill. That was tricky! Lots of people had to walk their bikes up the hill. We cheered for all the children. They ran behind room 10. Everyone did a fantastic job!
